DJ
DJcity is known as the premier website for the latest and hottest music. We have been servicing the vinyl DJ community since 2001, and now technology has allowed us to cater to the DJ using any format.

Why should I subscribe?
DJcity is the #1 subscription digital record pool for DJ music because our staff are working DJs just like you. We have always been servicing DJs with the latest club joints, mashups, remixes, party breaks, and DJ tools. Our digital record pool service gives you access to multiple versions of tracks when available (clean, dirty, instrumental, acappella), consistent file names and volume levels, full traditional ID3 tags (artist, title, BPM) without extra junk tags (including no "encoded by" tags and no iTunes "000000EF 000000DC…" comments), high bitrate and quality (320 kbps), pre-built Serato overviews, cue points, and more. Stop wasting your time now and let us do the work while you focus on planning your next set. No other service will have all of this and we're adding more and more features everyday. Subscribe now!

There are other services out there that are FREE, so why DJcity?
We've been servicing music to over 15,000 DJs worldwide since we started... but enough of that. If you're reading this, you already knew that and more. The cost of our subscription is minimal considering that we have a full-time staff working with record labels and remixers to obtain new releases and exclusives for your use. As you can see we are constantly adding new tracks, blends, and remixes made specifically for the DJs. Sooner than later, you'll see our tracks floating around those other services, however to ensure the quality of the files, why not come directly to the legit source?

So it's not free...what are the dues?
As of now, it's $30/month billed in 3 month increments. Doing the math, that means we charge you $90 every 3 months. Sorry, no refunds as it's hard to return something that you've already downloaded. We currently accept credit cards (AMEX, Discover, MC, Visa) and also PayPal.

What is the download limit?
Unlimited downloads are included in your subscription. However, the maximum amount of times you can download each particular file is 3 times. This should be plenty in case there is an error transferring the file or you need access from another computer. If you feel you need extra downloads of a specific track, please let us know. See below for how long tracks stay available for download.

What is the main difference between the record pool and the 12" record store?
The record pool and record store are two separate sides of DJcity. One of the most asked questions is whether or not we will see our entire 12" collection online in the digital library. The answer is "no." We are NOT currently recording any of the vinyl compilation catalogs (Lethal Weapon, Mix Factor, etc.) because (i) we don't own those catalogs (ii) we will not "borrow" these tracks and convert them since these compilation companies pay all their producers from the vinyl sales and of course we're a huge supporter of vinyl. We do have a team of producers currently working on remixes, blends, mashups, and intros exclusively for our digital record pool.

How often do you post tracks? How many will I see a month?
We will post tracks as soon as possible once we get them. It's not an exact science. The issue of quality is always our concern. A song may become available, and you may see it out on the Internet, but everything that we post has to pass a specific quality inspection before we put it up on the site. The whole point is for us to provide you with the music so you can focus on being a DJ rather than trolling the internet for good quality tracks. We also are always updating the library which you can see by viewing the track updates log. Mainly you will see us adding different versions after the track has launched and/or we will rip the song directly from a better source.

Do you rip from vinyl or CD?
We would prefer to rip from vinyl since it is an analog source and we can control the encoding process. Our staff and producers have noticed that songs recorded correctly from vinyl have a distinct sound that varies from a CD rip that may have been over-compressed for playback on non-club systems such as small personal speakers or ipods. Both vinyl and CD are very good candidates and we encode at 320kbps CBR (constant bit rate).

I just want one track. Can I pay to just download it?
We're a service for DJs and not a pay-per-download MP3 store. The service we provide puts music into the hands of DJs for play in clubs, radio, or other audience-driven events, and completes the circle by giving instant feedback to artists and labels. So the short version is: sorry, no.

I use CDs to DJ. Can I still use your service?
Yes. Burn these tracks onto CD for your CD turntables and you're ready to go. Our tracks are all high quality MP3s and are re-mastered for consistent volume and have full ID3 tag information.

How long are these tracks accessible for?
6-8 months. We are not a MP3 download site folks. The music available on our service is for audio professionals and the timeframe for this promotional material does have an expiration date. Remember, you are not purchasing these songs, but are given access to play (break) the music.

Producer
Looking for files from a clean source? Hate the fact that 90% of tracks on Limewire and Bittorret are encoded improperly and have blocky over-compressed waveforms? Need instrumentals and acappellas? Look no further. We're here to help you make that next great mash-up/remix/mixtape.

Why should I subscribe?
DJcity digital record pool service caters to everyone in the music industry. We are here to assist DJs in getting the latest music to play at their events. Producers like yourself play a big part since you most likely (i) are a DJ as yourself, or (ii) create those sick mash-ups/blends/breaks/remixes that DJs fiend for like crack. The producer is the next logical step for most DJs, and similar to DJs, you care about things like consistency, quality, availability, and creativity. The DJcity digital record pool service delivers like your neighborhood pizza man. We go through each track and make sure everything is on point so you can spend your time being creative and worrying less about what virus you're going to catch from the internet.

You have a lot of tracks, but I'm mainly looking for acapellas and instrumentals?
Our staff is constantly updating the site as we aim to get every single available version of the tracks we list in our library. As soon as we get new versions or higher quality files, we update our service and notify you. A majority of our tracks do have these versions, but if there's something you can't find then let us know.

Radio
Got a live mixshow? Got a fancy title as a music director, program director, or on-air personality? Sometimes you may not get the attention you deserve, or maybe you just get too much attention and stopped picking up those phone calls. DJcity is there to save the day! Subscribe and download high quality and consistent files all with one easy to use interface. We also double check "clean" files for explicit content, and create clean files ourselves whenever possible. It also can't hurt to pick up our exclusive remixes, blends, breaks & mashups to add variety and exclusivity to your programming.

Why should I subscribe?
If you're a big station or even a medium sized station, you most likely get a lot of music already. If you work at a small station, have a satellite radio or internet radio show, our service is definitely right for you. Let us help fill in the blanks in your programming.
